Liskeard School pioneered the drive to increase awareness and take-up of free school meals in South East Cornwall. Parents taking up free school meals generates extra funds for the school. This was a very simple project which required a simple logo to promote the drive. Banners were produced and distributed across the county. These can be viewed in my Print Portfolio. There was no brief as such for this project other than it needed to be simple and clear.
I proposed one design with bold colours and the use of simple graphics to show the drive as succinctly and clearly as possible.
The logo uses bold green and blue colours with simple text to clearly show the message. Cutlery is used to quickly show the subject matter and cleverly makes up the 2 l’s. The 0 after the pound sign makes up a plate but also reinforces that the offer is free.
